The first master's thesis defence for international students admitted to Iraqi universities under the "Study in Iraq" programme took place. The initiative was launched by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, in 2023.
The thesis, submitted by Marwa Al-Muwajda from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, specialised in chemistry at the College of Science, University of Mosul, was approved. Her research, titled "The Role of Thiosulphate Sulfotransferase in Type 2 Diabetes," was evaluated by an academic committee comprising experts from the University of Mosul’s College of Science and the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Mutah University, Jordan.
It is worth noting that Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi has announced the admission of over 3,000 international students into Iraqi universities across the first and second editions of the "Study in Iraq" programme for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is preparing to launch the third edition for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the winners of the Excellence Award for AI Developers during the Third Annual Iraqi AI Forum.

Public and private universities, colleges, and institutes are to upload and update student, faculty, and curriculum data into the Ministry's central systems (SIS, LMS, and HRMS) as part of the ongoing automation project launched by the Prime Minister.
Adoption of a specialized form for discussing higher diploma projects in medical fields.
Raising the minimum score for faculty performance evaluations to 75% for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Approval to allow the addition of PhD holders with the rank of lecturer who possess experience and competence to the scientific committees within departments in the absence of senior academic ranks.
Endorsement of the draft law for the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning for Postgraduate Studies.
International students at Anbar University honoured the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, who inaugurated the Clinical Skills Laboratory building, lecture halls, and the Student Club building at the College of Medicine.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the guidelines for the application process to private universities and colleges for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The guideline includes the general principles for the central online application and admission system, as well as the conditions and regulations for applying to both morning and evening study programmes, as well as regulations for other channels and scholarships specific to the medical group. It also outlines the minimum application thresholds by specialisation, the admission requirements for each department, and the application process through the dedicated application for the Private Higher Education Directorate.

The universities and organisations that put the Bologna Process into practice received a letter of praise and acknowledgment from Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The ministry emphasised the significance of relying on official sources to prevent confusion. Furthermore, the ministry urged all educational institutions and students to avoid being misled by this false information.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of online applications for the two channels for amending nominations and accepting graduate students for the academic year 2022-2023. The submission comprises both the public channel and the channel for the martyrs' families, which can be done through the Studies, Planning, and Follow-up window.

The Ministry clarified that students with the families of martyrs must activate their exam numbers through the Martyrs Foundation, while deferred or failed students must attend the university where they were accepted to change their candidature.

A Ph.D. dissertation at the College of Education for Girls at the University of Kufa discussed the use of integral transform for solving partial differential equations and its applications.
The dissertation presented by student Rehab Ali Khudair aims to find new double transforms named Double ZZ transforms and Complex ZZ transforms as useful tools distinguished by speed and accuracy to obtain solutions for hydrodynamic pressure, load-bearing, and heat equation describing particle movement in a viscoelastic fluid.
The dissertation concluded that using Double ZZ transform as a powerful tool for solving motion and continuity equations in hydrodynamic lubrication and compressive lubrication and for solving the heat equation describing particle movement in a viscoelastic fluid, and using Complex Double ZZ transform to estimate stress peaks in the knee joint for daily activities.
The dissertation recommended that the Double ZZ transform and Compound Double ZZ transform can be developed to solve a system of ordinary differential equations and solve partial differential equations with variable coefficients.

His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed that the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) granted the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq (NCAMC) full international accreditation at the level of program evaluation and approved standards in fields within the quality of medical education.
